Coffee Chat with Christina

Writer: Christina TremblayChristina Tremblay

Hi there, welcome to Coffee Chat with Christina, my weekly encouragement letter to myself and to you, my friend. I believe there is a Bombshell living inside of you. You are more capable than you admit. Deep down, there is a Bombshell living inside of us; she just needs the tools to emerge.

Bombshell; noun

a bomb. something or someone having a sudden and sensational effect:The news of his resignation was a bombshell.

a very attractive person (typically used of a woman).

striking, amazing, surprising, captivating.

"a twenty-year-old blonde bombshell"

You may be laughing at me right now, saying Christina, I do not want to be a Bombshell, that is a ridiculous thought, I don't have time to feel pretty. Somehow all little girls are born with this innate desire to feel pretty. It's why movies like Mrs. Congeniality, starring Sandra Bullock[who prided herself on being "one of the boys"] who was unpolished, unkempt, and unleashed were so popular and grossed millions at the Box Office. She had a major transformation. We all celebrated and cheered her new feminine image. Her entire demeanor changed. She was a brand new woman.

And another movie The Devil Wears Prada, featuring Anne Hathaway, who is completely content not taking care of her outward appearance, realizes along the way she does want to feel better and becomes so successful she outranks her co-worker.

If you've been here for a while you may remember my first program called

Bombshell Mamas. I had just had my 3rd daughter, and I was far away from feeling anything sensational, girly, or bombshell-like. I was having issues with my thyroid where I couldn't lose weight, I had just broken my foot a few months back, so my Personal Training was on hold, I was overwhelmed by motherhood and wasn't sure I had what it took to get myself back to my old days of feeling being young, feeling amazing, and able to complete my day without feeling like a total failure. Mom- life can really mess with your head.

Now, I'm not saying put all your eggs in one basket and focus completely on your outward appearance. But how would that make you feel if you did start jumping up and showering, combing your hair, and putting on a little mascara? Just try it for one week and tell me how you feel.

Give me 10 minutes. It's the same with your workout routine. Just put your shoes on, pull your hair back, and start something for 5 min. Usually, that's all it takes and then you're on to 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, then to 30 minutes consistently. Suddenly working out is a part of you, and it's a daily habit. Not just a quick lose weight fast program you did once to fit in a bikini, but an actual change to your lifestyle inside and out.

I don't know where this blog finds you today. But to me, YOU ARE THE BOMBSHELL. You are already beautiful. She lives inside you.....it's time to let her make an appearance.
